Get the Look: Vanessa Hudgens

Hello! Who hasn't at least wished they had Vanessa's wardrobe (and boyfriend?) ? I think at some point we've all envied her perfect effortlessly looking outfits. Now, most of us don't have her budget so sometimes it's hard to get the same exact pieces that's why I put together some affordable outfits that are rather similar to hers.

Cara Delevigne for Topshop || AW14

Sooo... this might or might not be another post about a recent campaign Cara Delevigne has done. Cara is definitely the model of the moment and this time is the British company Topshop that has chosen her to be the face of the Autumn/Winter campaign. It's the first time in history that there's a single model in a Topshop campaign and it's no surprise that the chosen one has been Cara.

The campaign was shot in London by the photographer Alasdair McLellam and styled by Kate Phelan (Topshop Creative Director). The clothes will become available, both online and in store,  in August coinciding with the opening of many new stores across the globe in the USA, Hong  Kong, Amsterdam, Egypt, New Zealand and Panama; which shows how big the brand is becoming.

This is no
t the first time we see the model dressed in Topshop clothes. She featured in  the campaign for Kate Moss's Tophsop collection back in 2010 and has walked in three Topshop Unique London Fashion Week shows - SS13, AW13, SS14.

DIY: High-Waisted Roll Up Shorts

Hello everybody! Today I'm here with what is probably the easiest DIY known to man. You will love this if you're a fan of vintage shorts like moi.

You'll need
Vintage High-Waisted Jeans
Scissors
Marker

How To Do It:
Step One. Try the jeans on and draw a thin small line 15cm below where you would cut your jean if they weren't rolled up.
Step Two. Start by cutting off on leg. Once we're done with the first leg, fold the shorts and cut the other leg.
Step Three.  Roll your shorts up  twice.
Step Three. Trey them on and if they are too long, either roll them up another time or cut them a little shorter.

YOU'RE DONE!

REMEMBER: If you're not too sure about how long you want your shorts to be, start by making them a bit longer and shorten them up later.

As I said before, this is extremely easy. I also did a pair of high-waisted distressed shorts so if you want a DIY on them let me know in the comments!

How To: Carrot Cake

Hello everybody! In case you didn't know, I'm a big big fan of cakes, specially carrot cake. It's probably my favourite. I had only baked this beauty once before and decided to try and improve the recipe and make it somewhat healthier.

Ingredients

Cake
175g granulated sugar
170ml olive oil
3 eggs
3 grated carrots
175g wholegrain flour
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
1tbsp cinnamon
1 and a half tbsp chia seeds (optional)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
A few chopped almonds and some shredded coconut (optional)

Frosting
100g Mascarpone
2-3 tbsp of icing sugar (or until sweet enough)
1 tsp vanilla extract

How To Do It

Cake
Start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees celsius. In a large mixing bowl, mix the sugar, the eggs and the oil. Once mixed, add the shredded carrots and stir again. Then, mix the flour, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon and sift into the mixing bowl. Finally, add the vanilla extract, almonds, coconut and chia seeds.  Pour the mixture into a greased tin and leave in the oven for about 45min.

Icing
In a bowl, mix the mascarpone with the icing sugar mixing with a spoon until it's all well-mixed. Then, add the vanilla extract, mix again and store in the fridge. Wait for the cake to cool down before putting the frosting on.

If you you make this let me know what you think in the comments!

Kendall & Kylie Back to School Collection

Hello! This is my first back-to-school post.. sad times. I've been seeing back-to-school videos on YT for pretty much a month now and it makes me so sad for no reason as I don't start school until October, anyway, let's get into the actual post.

If you've been reading my posts for a while you'll probably know that I adore Kendall and Kylie's fashion and I adore all of Kendall (sorry Kylez but you're becoming an annoying spoilt little girl). The sister launched their first Pacsun clothing line back in 2012 and it seems people love it as they keep launching new ones every season!

Their 16-piece collection has an LA vibe. It's rather casual and I would say it's Coachella inspired. I personally love most of their pieces and wish there was a Pacsun here so that I could buy something. Price wise I wouldn't say it's cheap but it's not overpriced either. However,  I could be wrong as I don't really know what's a 'decent price' in America.

The collection is already available in stores and online and I'm almost sure Pacsun ships internationally even though the shipping fee tends to be quite expensive.  I tried to buy a 21€ tank top and it ended up costing 50€ due to shipping and taxes. It sucks, doesn't it?

What do you think of their collection? Are you going to buy anything?

ED SHEERAN CONCERT + VIDEO || Mallorca Rocks 2014

Hello people! If you've read my 'Things I'm looking forward to' post you will know that I went to see Ed Sheeran recently, in fact, two days ago. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had to say the least. To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of him. Yes, I've always liked his style and most of his songs but I didn't stalk him or fangirl over him. However, after seeing him live last night... I'm in love. If you think his albums are good, then wait to see him sing the songs live, I promise you it's out of this world. It's amazing how a single human being can do so many things on a stage in front of so many people. He does it all himself. Just him and his guitar. It's a truly incredible experience. It's safe to say it was one of the best nights of my life, THANK YOU ED.

I filmed most of the concert and put all of the footage together for your own enjoyment  do me a favour and ENJOY!

P.S : I  was meant to post that yesterday but the video took 800min to upload (literally)

Festival Outfit Ideas || Guest Post

Just a quick note before this post: this is a guest post by the lovely Kate (make sure to check her blog). We were thinking of doing this weekly or monthly so if you enjoy it let us know in the comments!!
Hello, everyone! For those of you that don't know me, my name is Kate Wilson. If I'm honest, I don't like to put any labels on my blog as I tend to talk about just about everything. I talk about what people wear at events, OOTD's, reviews, days out with friends, recipes and much more, so be sure to head over to my blog if you're interested in any of that. There is definitely something for everyone.

Anyway, in this guest post I'm going to be talking about some outfits that I'd wear to a festival. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to attend any this year, but I did attend T in the Park last year so have some handy hints and tips on what to wear. Enjoy!

To start of with, I'm going to mention some DO's and DON'T's.

- DON'T wear white. I made this mistake and my t-shirt has never been the same!
DO wear comfortable shoes and thick socks. Seriously guys, you're feet will be SO sore.
DON'T wear anything that you would make you upset if it got ripped or mud on.
DO think comfort.

Now for some outfits! I don't think I have any photos of what I wore to TITP (I forgot my camera. Yeah, I was devastated to say the least) but, other than the first don't tip, I definitely followed the rules mentioned above.

I know I've included three Summer outfits and one for cooler evenings but *touch wood* most festivals this Summer have had glorious weather. When I went last year, it was actually over 30 degrees, something that is completely unheard of in TITP history. You could also add a pair of tights in the evening to some of the Summer looks.

You may have noticed I've included a backpack in all of the outfits and this is because I find them to be the safest kind of bag. They're hard to get in to, you'll notice anyone trying to steal something and also have lots of compartments to put things in.

I really hope you enjoyed this guest post and do let me know in the comments in you want more!

Have you ever been to a festival?
What did you wear?

Get the Look: Blake Lively/Serena van der Woodsen

I think it's safe to say that most of us have watched at least a few episodes of Gossip Girl and we have all fallen in love with the expensive clothes and perfect outfits the carachters wear. I personally love Serena's style as well as Blake's. I decided to put together a few outfits that are as similar as possible to the 'original' ones (and cheaper). I chose  a quite formal outfit, a casual one and then one in between.

Lazy Summer Morning Routine/Essentials

Hello! I am sure I'm not the only one who looooves being lazy in summer. There's nothing better than waking up at any time you want and knowing you have absolutely nothing planned or get done that day.

Some of my essentials for a lazy morning in summer are the ones above. The first thing I always do when I wake up regardless of the time of the year is have breakfast, I need to eat something before even checking my phone (which I normally do while I eat).

I then go to my bathroom and try to take care of my teeth so that they look decent and I don't have to go to the dentist too often (after all, who likes going to the dentist?). Since it's summer I take extra care of my skin and hair basically because I spend quite a lot of time under the sun and getting sunburnt is not nice. I also like to spray oil on my hair to protect it from the sun.

I then decide I should probably  get dressed and as it's been extremely hot lately, like, not even nicely hot just disgustingly hot and humid, I try to wear simple outfits that don't make make me sweat like a pig. I normally go for runner shorts and a loose tank top.

Aaaand, it's laptop time!! And because it's a lazy morning (or day, or week or even month) you are allowed to spend as much time as you wish stalking people on Twitter, expressing your love for Netflix, planning your own wedding on Pinterest or just procrastinating on Tumblr.

What's your favourite to do when you're being lazy?
