THINGS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO #3

Hello guys! If you're read my previous 'Thinks I'm Looking Forward' posts then you know what these are about. If not, it's not hard to guess. I basically share with you all what I'm looking forward to in the near future.
MILAN. Yes, I am going to Milan. In February I have a week off which is supposed to be to revise for our exams but our exams are in June so it's kind of pointless... I have a friend who studies in  Milan and as I haven't seen her in two years I thought I would go see her and well a trip to Milan sounds nice as well.

RESULTS. I recently finished my January exams and I'm sort of looking forward to getting the results. I want to know them but at the same time I'm scared so...

SEEING MY DAD AND SISTER. My dad and sister are coming to London in a month and I'm quite excited to see them and spend some time going around London.
CHOCCYWOCCYDOODAH. To celebrate the end of exams me and my friends went to ChoccyWoccyDoodah to eat some cake. I got the Chocolate Cake and the Milk Hot Chocolate and whilst the cake was not out of this world (but still very yummy) the hot chocolate was A-MA-ZING. I'm planning on taking my dad and sister when they come so I am very very excited to go get some more cake and hot chocolate.

What are you looking forward to?

OUT AND ABOUT: THE CITY AND TOWER BRIDGE

Hello people! Here's another post featuring some pictures of London. Last Saturday I decided to get out of my cave and explore London with one of my flatmates. He loves skyscrapers so of course we went to The City to admire all the beautiful buildings. I personally love the Gherkin and the Shard so I enjoyed taking a lot a lot of pictures.
We went to Sushisamba (38th floor) to take some pretty cool pictures of London's skyline and then we got kicked out because we couldn't take pictures with DSLRs, only with cell phones. Then we tried to go to the Sky Bar which is located at the top floor of one of the other skyscrapers (can't remember the name) but it was fully booked until March, yes, March. At that point we gave up and went to get a coffee at a caffe near the Tower Bridge.

MY FAVOURITE BRUSHES

Hello everybody! Brushes can make a huge difference in how your make up looks. Use the wrong brush for your foundation and it will not be properly blended, use the wrong brush to blend out your eyeshadow and it will look like a hot mess. I have three brushes that I use pretty much everyday and that I think do their job perfectly. Plus, they are all quite inexpensive so anyone can afford them.

Ecotools Flat Eyeliner Brush || Real Techniques Expert Face Brush || Deliplus Sombra Brush
Let's start with what I use for my foundation. A few years ago I used to use my fingers and to be honest it worked fine but then my hands were disgusting. I then decided to get a brush to do the dirty work for me and since everyone was raving about RT brushes I got one. The brush retails at £9.99 and it's totally worth it.  It is firm and wide enough to blend everything relatively quick. Whether you are using cream or liquid foundation, it will give you an airbrush finish and will make you look flawless.
For my eyes I use two brushes for my every day make up routine. The first one is the Ecotools Flat Eyeliner Brush. I don't use liquid eyeliner in a daily basis because it's pain to take it off at night so, instead, I use this brush and a dark eyeshadow to line my eyes. At only £5.49 I think it's a very good brush, it's firm thick and soft; what else could you ask for?
The other brush I use for  my eyes is the Deliplus Sombre Brush which I think you can only get in Spain and I don't think they are sold online. I use this to sightly darken my crease with a dark-ish brown. It retails at 5€ so it's quite a bargain!
What's your favourite brush?

MAC PRO LONGWEAR FOUNDATION || REVIEW

Hello guys! I recently got my first high-end foundation. Amongst other things, my mom got me the MAC Pro Longwear foundation for my birthday. I had heard many great things about these foundation before but never found the right excuse to buy it. Ironically, I will make you all want to buy it (or not) by the end of this post.

The foundation retails at £25/$32, which I think is a bit expensive for a foundation but it is a reasonable price for a high-end foundation.

This foundation is literally the perfect consistency -which might be a weird quality for some people - but I hate it when they are either too runny or two thick but this one is juts right. It is lightweight and it feels like your skin can breath and it's not covered with paste. It blends amazingly well (I use the RT Face Brush Expert) and it honestly looks like I have no foundation on, it seems like I am naturally flawless. It has a satin and very natural finish.
Coverage wise it's medium coverage but you can definitely build it and it won't look cake at all.
It stays on pretty much all day. I apply it when I wake up at around 8am and when I get home at 6-7pm it's still on looking pretty much like it looked in the morning so that is great! One problem I seemed to have when using other foundation like Rimmel's Wake Me Up or Maybelline's SuperStay Better Skin was that my face got really oily after a few hours which really annoyed me. However, this foundations doesn't seem to make my skin oily at all and it doesn't dry it either.
Overall, I would really recommend this foundation if you are willing to spent a little bit more. It's definitely worth it!

Have you ever tried a MAC foundation?

VANESSA HUDGENS || STYLE CRUSH

Hello everybody! I don't think I'm wrong if I say that I am not the only girl who would not only love to have Vanessa's boyfriend but also her wardrobe. She always looks perfect, not too overdressed and not too underdressed. She goes from boho chic to Upper East Side classy in a matter of hours.
Every time I see a picture of her  I have serious outfit envy, every single time. Her wardrobe seems to be even better than Blair Waldorf's and that is saying something ladies. So, here you have my favourite outfits that Vanessa has worn recently.

Which one was your favourite outfit?

OUT AND ABOUT: NOTTING HILL AND GREENWICH

Hello everybody! This past weekend I decided to explore London with  some friends as we had just finished our exams and didn't have anything to do. I think London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I'm so grateful to be able to live here, however, because I am here to go to uni I don't get to do much tourism as most of my weekends are spent trying to understand my lecture notes.
If you've ever been to Notting Hill, you will know it's a lovely neighbourhood with colourful houses and a great market! I didn't buy anything as I think most things there are overpriced. But I did buy some food and it was all delicious. I had an amazing chocolate and pistachio tart but I was too hungry to take a picture...

I then went to Greenwich North and Greenwich Park. I had never been there as it's a 35min tube journey from where I live and I couldn't be bothered. The views from Greenwich Park are breathtaking. You can see The City, the London Eye, Canary Wharf... all of London. If you live in London or happen to be here you should definitely go!

MY THOUGHTS ON KENDALL JENNER

Everyone knows who Kendall Jenner is, whether you know her as Kim Kardashian's little sister or Cara Delevingne's new bestie. Her face is on every single fashion magazine, and you will see her walking down countless catwalks like a pro.
Her career in fashion began in 2009 when she signed with Wilhelmina Models. As many models she has been featured in Teen Vogue, Seventeen and similar magazines. Ever since she's started modelling for high-end brands like Givenchy or Chanel she's been criticised by the media for not 'earning' her career in modelling.

Modelling is one of those careers that are not considered 'normal',  regular people don't really think of it as an option as it's not a matter of how hard you try but a matter of how photogenic you are or how good your genes are. Some models have had to work very hard to get where they are now and some others just have to make a few calls. Like Kendall.
We are all born in a family that we don't get to choose. You can't blame someone for belonging to a rich or powerful family, they didn't choose it. And neither did Kendall. She was born in a very famous and wealthy family and, in a way, she's always been famous. Because of that, landing a job in the modelling industry was easier than for regular people and she didn't have to work as hard or go through what so many other models have to. Is that her fault though? Is it her fault that her sister's husband is Kanye West who just happens to have some contacts in the fashion industry? Whether she got that Givenchy campaign thanks to Kanye or not I don't know. But what I do know is that Kendall is taking a lot of nasty comments for something she's not guilty of.
If anyone had the opportunity to succeed doing something they like they would take it, Kendall just happened to have it. If she didn't have the 'right' body or if she wasn't considered pretty or if she sucked at modelling I am quite sure she wouldn't be posing with all those top models and she definitely wouldn't be working with Chanel. Yes, her fame might have gotten her there but if she wasn't talented she would've been gone by now. I really think she does not deserve all the hate she is getting and that some people should remember that at the end of the day she is just a teenager.

HOLIDAY HAUL!

Hello! I am back! Yes, I am alive!! I took my last final yesterday so now I am sort of free again and ready to start blogging regularly. This post is a bit late (not to say very very very late) but I thought I would still show you guys what I got over the last couple of weeks. Christmas is pretty much the only time of the year when I get presents as my birthday is on December, 30th. Because I am from Spain I also celebrate the Three Wise Men so I also get presents on January, 6th. Anyway, this is what I got this Christmas!
The first present I got was an early birthday present from my two best friends from uni. They know how much I love make up so they got a lipstick and a nail varnish that match. I haven't had the chance to try the lipstick yet but the nail varnish is lovely! They also got me a phone case but it is for the iPhone 5S so it doesn't really fit mine. I loved it so much, though, that I decided to keep it and now it is used to decorate my bedroom.

Next, I have my Christmas pressies (aka make up). My mom got me the They're Real Mascara and gel eye liner from Benefit. I had been wanting to try their mascara for ages but I just couldn't justify spending 20€ on it. Now that I've tried it, I'll probably buy it again as it does make my eyelashes look unreal! My sister got me something that I had been lusting over for years and that's it the Naked 2 Basics Palette.
For my birthday I got even more make up. I got a MAC foundation which I've been using almost everyday ever since I got it and I love it. However, I probably won't repurchase it when I run out purely because of the price (which I guess is quite high) but it will definitely be on my whishlist next Christmas. I also got an OPI nail polish and a necklace. Lastly, I got a voucher for a pair of Panama Jack boots but since I prefer black boots I exchanged that for a pair of black leather boots that I am absolutely in love and it's been the only pair of shoes I've worn ever since I came back to London.
Finally for the Three Wise Men I got a proper camera. It's the Canon EOS 1200D which was, obviously, the best present I've ever gotten (well maybe that's saying a bit too much but you get the point).
And this is all I got over the holiday season! Hope you guys enjoyed that post and that you all enjoyed your holidays!

Another year is over! The older I get the faster the years seem to go by and that better stop because otherwise years will feel like days. I hope you all had a wonderful new year's eve, whether you spent it with your friends or your family, whether you decided to go out or stay at home.

I hope you all had an amazing 2014 filled with happy memories and that 2015 treats you all even better. And remember, if 2014 was not your year, you still got plenty of years ahead of you!
2015 is a new book with blank pages, let's write a best-seller.
