WHERE TO BRUNCH || LONDON

Hello! Ever since I discovered brunch, all I want to do on the weekends is brunch. It just gives me a reason to eat breakfast food for lunch, I mean, buttermilk pancakes for lunch? Yes, please! During the last few months, I've been out for brunch fairly often so I thought I would share with you all my top places in London so that you can enjoy them too! 

1. THE BREAKFAST CLUB. This is the first place I had ever had brunch at and it is my favourite. They have the best pancakes with yummy berries and their Eggs Benedict are to die for! Also, they have the best caramel latte I've ever had and don't even get me started on their smoothies. Clearly, I really like their foo. The only downside is that if you go to the one in Angel or Soho you'll have to queue up for a while. The queue in Angel is significantly shorter though.


2. JACKSON AND RYE. This little cafe in Soho has amazing buttermilk pancakes. My favourite ones are the banana cream and maple syrup pancakes, I would even dare to say they are my all time favourite pancakes. The only thing I would change about this place is that they don't offer pancakes with real fruit unless you have the pancakes with blueberries and bacon, but I am not a fan of bacon with pancakes. 


3. CHOCCYWOCCYDOODAH. This isn't really somewhere to have brunch as they only have cakes and drinks but, if you fancy a sweet brunch this is the place to go. They have amazing cakes that look and taste incredible, but if there is something you have to try if you got there is their hot chocolate. Oh my godness, this is the best hot chocolate on earth (after my mom's obvs), it's so rich and creamy and chocolatey and sweet and perfect. I've had the milk chocolate hot chocolate, but they also have white and dark chocolate so you can choose your favourite.  


4.PAUL'S. I first went to this cafe when I went to Paris several years ago and that was also the first time I tried macaroons. If you ever want to eat great macaroons but are not in the mood to splurge at Ladurée's, Paul's is the place to go! They also have many tarts that are absolutely mouth-watering (the strawberry tart is stunning)  and their paninis and salads are also amazing!

WORKOUT MOTIVATIONS

Hello! Recently, I’ve been getting into going to the gym and working out somewhat regularly as I find it helps me de-stress for exams and it also gives more energy. Something really important when working out is food, what should you eat before exercising, what about after? What you eat can completely change how you perform and even how effective the work out is. I recently came across ETB Fit,  who sell amazing pre-work out supplements so you should definitely check them out!! 

Because I normally go to the gym in the morning, I normally count breakfast as my pre-workout snack. However, if someday I go later in the day I like to have something like a banana or an apple. Nothing too heavy since it’s not good to work out on a full stomach. 

After working out I often run home and eat everything I see because I am starving. But, for the sake of this post, let’s pretend that doesn’t happen that often. So, in another world I would eat something really healthy but filling like an apple with peanut butter, a green smoothie or a protein bar. Sometimes, I’ll decide to treat myself after a gym session so that I have a motivation to look froward to and that makes me push myself harder. Obviously, I won’t treat myself to a giant slice of chocolate cake with loads of icing as that would defeat the point of working out. But, I do treat myself to either smaller foods like macaroons or something healthy but that I normally wouldn’t buy because of the price (yes, I am talking about Whole Foods.) 

Something else that I find essential when working out is music. Kim Kardashian once said she likes to listen to classic music when running, well, I love the Kardashians but how on earth can you work out to Mozart?! When I say music I mean, Rihanna, Drake and this kind of music. I like to listen to upbeat songs that keep me motivated and make me perform better.

I'M FREE!!!



Hello! Yesterday I finished exams so I am officially on summer break! wooohoo! Unfortunately the end of exams meant even more stress due to me moving out in two days and having to sort everything out and basically put my whole life in boxes. To top it off, my social life has increased by a factor of infinity ever since I handed in my last final of the year. This resulted in me staying up until 4 in the morning packing up and getting nowhere near enough sleep.  Anywaaay, with all of that all I wanna say is that I might still not post very often until the beginning of July but I will definitely be more active than what I've been during the last few weeks so, look forward to some new fresh posts!!

UPDATE

Hello! As you may have noticed, I haven't posted anything in a while. I start (and finish) my exams on the 15th so I am currently revising 24/7 which leaves me with pretty much zero free time to write anything. So, I won't be posting anything until around June, 20th. After that I'll be free and have loads of time to write and take pretty pictures! If you have finals coming up, I hope they go well and I wish you the best of luck! If you've already finished them and are on summer break, I kinda hate you (jk).
